About The Hollywood Reporter Online - HollywoodReporter.com Website Information
When does news appear on the site?
Stories are posted 24/7. We use a combination of staff and wire stories to stay on top of breaking news. International news comes direct from London during European business hours. The New York bureau posts breaking news early in the U.S. news cycle. Contents of the Reporter's print edition usually are available Sunday-Thursday nights by 11 (PT). Much of Friday's news that appears in the Monday print edition goes online Friday.

Do you put all of the paper's news on the site?
The complete news content of the print edition is posted -- and then some. We often include staff stories that didn't appear in the paper because of space limits. Some stories are posted in longer versions than in the paper. Stories are updated, replaced or removed as events warrant.

Why do I have to pay to read complete stories?
Unlike mass-media sites, we offer specialty information for a professional audience. The site's fees reflect the relatively small audience for this sort of information. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality news product for both online subscribers and non-subscribers.

What about special issues?
We post special reports and features on the relevant news page, sometimes with expanded and online-only stories. The Film, Television, International and Music news areas all have a standing Features page where reports are available. You can also check the In Depth page for recent features. Some larger special reports -- such as Cannes, Sundance and Academy Awards -- are posted in their own areas. Premium subscribers can always find special and feature stories through the site archives.

When are boxoffice grosses available?
Boxoffice estimates are available Sunday about 11 a.m. (PT). The full boxoffice estimate story is available later in the day. The final boxoffice story is posted Monday evening, although key numbers are updated as soon as they're available mid-afternoon. Online subscribers have access to an expanded version of the boxoffice chart that appears in print.
